Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Team Lead to coordinate daily operations and supervise the Cardiac Sonography staff. You will ensure IAC standards, deliver advanced ultrasound care across age groups, and optimize patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires registry-approved ultrasound training, BLS, and ARDMS/RCS certifications with preference for 5 years of hospital-based experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program.
• 5 years of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient cardiac sonographer preferred.
• BLS and RDCS/CCI certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of the cardiac sonographer staff and supervise technical requirements per IAC.
• Provide team leadership of the Cardiac Sonography team.
• Deliver complex ultrasound care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and monitor patient flow.

Responsibilities

Daily coordination of the activities of the cardiac sonographer staff, technical supervision including maintaining current technical requirements of Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC), comprehensive patient care and safety. Work with the manager or supervisor to provide team leadership of the Cardiac Sonography team.Able to provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Monitors patient care delivery and facilitates patient flow.

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Required

Work Experience

• Must meet requirements of highest leveled Cardiac Sonography Technologist at the assigned entity Required
• 5 years of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) . Credential in echocardiography in one of the following : Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Required
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Required
