Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Inspector to support CEI services on a major bridge rehabilitation program in the Savannah, GA area. You will verify contractor compliance, lead inspections of stay cables, bearings, and expansion joints, and supervise junior staff.

Night and weekend work may be required. Qualifications include extensive cable-stayed bridge experience, ability to interpret drawings, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience on complex bridges with cable-stayed systems.
• Strong knowledge of cable-stayed bridge components and replacement methods.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Proven lead inspector experience on major bridge projects.

Responsibilities

• Verify contractor compliance with plans, specs, QC procedures, and safety.
• Lead CEI Senior Bridge Inspector on a major project.
• Inspect cable-stayed systems, stay cables, anchorages, dampers, protective systems.
• Monitor bridge movements during cable replacement.
• Inspect traffic control implementation per approved plan.
• Lead inspections for stay cable replacement and bearing/expansion joint work.
• Conduct independent inspections of complex construction processes.
• Supervise lower-level inspectors.
• Prepare daily inspection reports with photos and observations.
