Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Principal C-UAS Systems Integration & Operational Analysis Engineer in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on development, integration, testing, and fielding of a next-generation C-UAS missile system, coordinating with multiple subsystems and government customers to ensure end-to-end kill-chain effectiveness.

The position emphasizes systems engineering, quantitative analysis, test support, and clear technical communication, with travel to test ranges and on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a closely related technical field.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in C-UAS, missile defense, air defense, or similar defense system environment.
• Experience integrating interceptors or other effectors into command-and-control systems.
• Experience supporting engineering, integration, flight, or live-fire test events at DoD test ranges.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of the Next Generation C-UAS Missile into command-and-control and battle-management systems.
• Coordinate end-to-end integration across interceptor, launcher, canister, C2, radar, sensor, and communications interfaces.
• Develop and maintain system-integration plans, interface requirements, verification methods, and test objectives.
• Monitor test execution, evaluate system performance, identify anomalies, and provide timely recommendations during active tests.
• Analyze system performance across engagement sequence from detection to target defeat.
• Brief technical findings and recommendations to program leadership and users.
