Lead Business Engineer

Location: Duluth, GA, US, 30096

In close cooperation with customers and guided by the Sales team and the Team Manager, drive business by supporting the Sales organization and our customers in advanced technical and commercial tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers at all levels to translate needs into functional actions.
  • Maintain data and information in the SWEP CRM system, logging activities and updating records.
  • Execute product selection and quoting from RFQ to order completion, setting prices according to guidelines and discounts.
  • Provide commercial and technical support for SWEP customers, including complex requests like 2-phase calculations and advanced customizing.
  • Train and support internal and external users of SSP G8 selection software and facilitate its integration.
  • Evaluate material specifications and certifications, ensuring requirements are met.
  • Lead quality audits and support customer visits to SWEP factories.
  • Coordinate stock setups, prepare new items, and analyze profitability and stock turns.
  • Conduct customer and market research to identify new opportunities.
  • Participate in internal projects and customer-specific initiatives, acting as a project leader when needed.
  • Assist with product phase in/out processes, including data collection and customer approval.
  • Support strategic planning and business opportunity evaluation through financial analysis.
  • Create and maintain customer-specific pricelists.
  • Handle field failure reports and follow up on claims.
  • Provide training in your area of expertise.
  • Represent SWEP at events, exhibitions, and conferences.
  • Stay updated on market trends and technological developments.
