Lead Business Engineer

Location: Duluth, GA, US, 30096

Role Overview

In close cooperation with customers and guided by Sales and the Team Manager, the Lead Business Engineer will drive business by supporting the Sales organization and customers in advanced technical and commercial tasks.

Responsibilities
  1. Interact with customers at all levels to translate needs into actionable solutions.
  2. Maintain CRM data, log activities, and update records.
  3. Handle product selection and quoting from RFQ to order completion, setting prices according to guidelines and independently managing complex requests.
  4. Provide technical and commercial support, including thermodynamic calculations, customization, and troubleshooting.
  5. Train and support the use of SSP G8 selection software and integrate it into customer systems.
  6. Evaluate material specifications and certifications, ensuring requirements are met.
  7. Lead quality audits and support customer visits to SWEP factories.
  8. Coordinate stock setups, new item preparations, and profitability calculations.
  9. Conduct customer and market research to identify new opportunities.
  10. Participate in internal projects and customer-specific initiatives, acting as project leader when needed.
  11. Support product phase in/out processes with data collection and customer approval management.
  12. Assist in strategic financial analysis and value proposition development.
  13. Create and maintain customer-specific price lists.
  14. Manage field failure reports and follow up on claims.
  15. Provide training in your area of expertise.
  16. Represent SWEP at events and stay updated on market trends and technological developments.
