Job summary

Exelon is seeking a skilled facilities operator to manage day-to-day operation and maintenance of building mechanical and electrical systems at a Maryland location. The role includes maintaining HVAC, electrical, emergency power, plumbing and life safety systems, with responsibility for cost estimates and contractor oversight.

The position requires relevant licenses (DC/MD), electrical maintenance certification, CFC, and state-specific credentials, plus strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Licenses and certifications required for boiler, electrical, and safety compliance.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Overtime willingness and ability to work as part of a maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain building HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Perform general and preventative maintenance across building trades.
• Oversee building systems and ensure safety and compliance.
• Lead, train, and supervise lower classified staff.
• Inspect and review contractor work; troubleshoot building issues.
