Job summary

New Mexico State Land Office is seeking a Maintenance & Repair Worker Supervisor to oversee the maintenance staff, inspect building systems, and supervise in-house projects across the NM State Land Office complex. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and quality of work in a three-floor building.

The ideal candidate has extensive maintenance experience and is able to plan, assign, and coach staff while ensuring compliance with policies and schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and two years' experience in buildings/grounds maintenance.
• Experience supervising maintenance or construction activities.
• Must possess valid New Mexico Driver's License and driving certificate.
• Must lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, work in inclement weather.
• Shovel snow and travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance workers and oversee day-to-day tasks.
• Inspect heating, ventilation, air conditioning and mechanical systems.
• Oversee in-house building projects and space upgrades.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Interview and select maintenance staff.
