Job summary

CBRE seeks a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to oversee maintenance and repair operations for facilities, campuses, or portfolios. You will lead a team, manage critical systems reliability, and liaise with stakeholders to resolve issues and escalations.

The role requires 5–8 years of related experience and a tracked history in supervision. You will mentor staff, develop preventive maintenance plans, and manage budgets to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team in resolving operational issues and escalations.
• Oversee maintenance and reliability of critical building systems and coordinate after-hours support.
• Track staff training, evaluations, and coaching; oversee recruitment and hiring.
• Coordinate daily activities, set work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
• Develop and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Ensure mechanics have the information and materials to complete work on time and to high quality.
• Develop material and labor estimates for work orders and projects.
• Establish and manage budgets for facilities maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and seek help when needed.
• Apply advanced knowledge to develop better methods for objectives.
• Coach others to build expertise across functions.
• Lead by example in CBRE RISE values and influence senior stakeholders.
