Job summary

Bridge Investment Group is seeking an experienced Lead Operating Engineer for its Cary, NC building. You will oversee HVAC systems, preventive maintenance, and building performance while coordinating contractors and safety protocols.

The role requires strong HVAC, electrical, plumbing skills and the ability to read schematics; duties include after-hours support and ensuring energy efficiency across the facility.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in HVAC maintenance with emphasis on preventive maintenance and chiller operations.
• Strong electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience in compressor change out.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating condition and control parameters of HVAC and mechanical equipment.
• Promote energy efficiency and monitor utility consumption.
• Supervise chiller, generators, water treatment, roofing, and fire alarm contractors.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and maintain records for equipment.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis.
• Maintain safe work environment and oversee repairs as needed.
