Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee the design and implementation of complex HVAC systems in Cary, NC. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive feasibility studies, and deliver detailed engineering documentation across project phases.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of HVAC design experience, strong leadership skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. This on-site role offers growth and collaboration with top-tier life sciences facilities teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum of 4 years leading or supervising engineers and designers on multidisciplinary project teams.
10+ years of mechanical engineering and HVAC design experience within building design industry.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, including load calculation and energy analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of complex mechanical HVAC systems, including air handling, chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate, dehumidification, controls, and utility systems.
Serve as Project Lead through all project phases, including feasibility studies, building assessments, basis of design reports, and detailed engineering documentation.
Manage project scope, budgets, staffing requirements, schedules, and technical deliverables in partnership with Project Managers.
Oversee and mentor engineering and design teams, reviewing work products and ensuring quality, code compliance, and design excellence.
