Job summary

Stream Realty Partners seeks a Lead Building Engineer to supervise maintenance, repair, and alterations of buildings within the assigned portfolio. You will plan projects, administer service contracts, and provide technical guidance to the chief engineer.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance with multiple departments and external agencies, ensuring safety, and preparing cost estimates. Strong knowledge of MEP systems and OSHA standards is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Commercial Building Operations, Property Management, or related industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience communicating with tenants/vendors professionally.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Highly knowledgeable of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, and life safety systems and related maintenance.
• Comply with codes, OSHA standards, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, orders materials, and supervises maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Supervises minor construction or building alteration projects.
• Keeps records and prepares reports.
• Develops and administers maintenance/service contracts, RFPs, bids, and awards.
• Coordinates with other departments, public, and outside agencies on maintenance activities.
• Inspects buildings for safety hazards and accessibility.
• Prepares plans/specifications for small remodeling or construction projects.
• Provides time and materials cost estimates.
• Analyzes energy usage and looks for conservation opportunities.
• Contributes to budget planning and long-range maintenance/CI plans.
