Job summary

Intertek in Hillside, IL is seeking a Building Enclosure Field-Testing Lead / Project Specialist to join our Building Science Solutions team. The role focuses on field testing of fenestration, roofing and air barriers on new and existing buildings, with travel expected about 50%.

You will lead testing, prepare field reports, develop proposals, and coordinate with the field testing manager on schedules, equipment and needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3+ years experience with building enclosure systems and testing.
• Ability to travel frequently (approx. 50%) and work on multiple projects in a team.
• Strong writing, organization, and communication skills; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead standardized building enclosure field testing of windows, curtain walls, storefront glazing, roofing and waterproofing systems.
• Prepare reports of field-testing results.
• Prepare proposals for potential new projects.
• Collaborate with field testing manager on schedules, equipment and material needs.
