Job summary

Encore Electric, Inc. is seeking a Lead Building Automation Technician to assist in installing building automation controls on commercial sites. You will follow Encore safety standards, lead crews, and ensure quality with testing equipment and PLCs.

Responsibilities include installing controllers, wiring, and conduits, diagnosing HVAC systems, and performing preventative maintenance under service contracts. A high school diploma and 2 years in tech construction are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; two years in a Technology Construction related field preferred.
• Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation of building automation systems.
• Pull wiring, work with PLCs, panel enclosures, raceways and related tasks.
• Perform commercial HVAC troubleshooting.
• Understand HVAC systems, pumps, towers, chillers, metering, steam, electric, CO, air flows, and VAV systems.
• Use test meters and read wiring diagrams.
• Install controllers, communications wiring, conduit and field devices.
• Attend project progress meetings and relay information to PM.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics per service agreements.
• Complete and submit service orders and reports for each assignment.
