Accutemp Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Lead Controls Installer to head field installations of Building Automation Systems on commercial HVAC projects in the Stoneham, MA area.

This hands-on leadership role requires guiding electricians and technicians, ensuring code-compliant wiring, and coordinating with project managers and programmers to meet project schedules. The successful candidate will have a Massachusetts electrical license, 3+ years in electrical/controls installation, and strong

Qualifications

• Massachusetts electrical license required.
• 3+ years electrical/controls/building automation installation experience.
• BAS/DDC experience in HVAC controls or similar low-voltage systems.
• Experience installing conduit and pulling/terminating low-voltage wiring.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, and mechanical plans.
• Familiarity with BAS devices: controllers, relays, sensors, actuators, current switches, panels.
• Strong safe installation practices and independent troubleshooting ability.
• Excellent communication and leadership of field personnel.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead the field installation of Building Automation Systems for commercial HVAC projects.
• Safely perform and oversee low-voltage electrical installation work, including mounting panels, running conduit, pulling/terminating wiring, installing controllers and relays.
• Assemble, wire, and terminate BAS equipment per drawings, specs, and codes.
• Ensure field installations are neat, labeled, and ready for programming and commissioning.
• Provide day-to-day direction to controls installers and helpers in the field.
• Coordinate installations with project managers, programmers, technicians, electricians, and other trades.
• Read project drawings, review scope, and plan manpower and priorities.
• Maintain documentation of field conditions and as-built changes.
• Support startup, commissioning, and punch-list activities.
