Job summary

Newmark Group is seeking a BAS Lead Technician to manage the BAS strategy for the North American portfolio. You will troubleshoot, install, service or program building automation systems and assist in commissioning and servicing building controls and facilities management systems across multiple sites.

The role requires expertise in DDC/BAS, HVAC systems, and networking, with responsibilities including calibration, database programming, and mentoring other technicians.

Qualifications

• 2+ years DDC/BAS start-up, checkout, service experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, building automation and energy management
• Understand control theories and field devices in HVAC
• Experience programming/troubleshooting ABB, Siemens, KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell
• Experience with pneumatic controls
• IP networking: subnets, VLANs, routing, firewalls
• Training/mentoring BAS technicians and facility teams

Responsibilities

• Program databases for all supported systems.
• Calibrate and checkout control systems per sequences of operation.
• Assist in producing graphical user interfaces for projects.
• Instruct customer personnel on operation and maintenance of controls.
• Monitor BAS systems and resolve issues.
• Schedule maintenance tasks aligned with BAS alarms.
• Standardize BAS architecture across multiple facilities in NA.
• Oversee the BAS Reliability program.
