Job summary

The role designs allocations in Excel, analyzes data, prepares reconciliations, and communicates results; a strong Excel background and proactive, independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in budget development/analysis is required across multiple programs.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years in relevant field or advanced degree with experience.
• Experience substitution: 30 semester hours = 1 year experience (max 120 semester hours).

Responsibilities

• Develops and prepares technical allocations of funds for multiple programs.
• Designs Excel calculations to apply allocation methodologies.
• Prepares documents to initiate payments within fiscal year timelines.
• Prepares reconciliations between appropriations, allocations and expenditures.
• Performs extensive data analysis to identify anomalies before calculations.
• Interprets results via statistical analysis and prepares reports/presentations.
• Provides technical assistance to recipients for required forms and timelines.
• Creates and maintains SOPs for each allocation/program.
• Represents Budget Administrator in agency meetings as needed.
