WSP is seeking an experienced Full-Time Structures Inspector for our Antioch, CA office with consideration for Roseville, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Rancho Cordova. You will perform bridge/structure inspections and construction management tasks following Caltrans manuals and standards.

The role requires 5+ years in structural inspection, knowledge of Caltrans practices, and the ability to work independently. Valid driver's license and a strong safety record are required.

Competenze

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-education experience including structural construction inspection for Caltrans or major public works.
• Knowledge of stress analysis, structural mechanics, and strength of materials.
• Thorough understanding of Cal-OSHA practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of construction practices and materials properties for highway bridge construction.
• Experience in pile driving, concrete prestressing, bridge deck construction, retaining wall construction, falsework, and shoring.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions; solve field and office problems.
• Ability to use an automatic level and transit for verifying line and grade.
• Understanding of Caltrans construction methods and practices.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to policies.
• Ability to work schedules extending beyond typical workweeks.

Mansioni

• Assist inspections to ensure compliance with contract plans, specs, and provisions across bridges, foundations, walls, falsework, shoring, drainage, and sign structures.
• Review falsework plans, shoring plans, demolition plans, concrete mix designs, and other submittals.
• Make grade, alignment, quantity, falsework, and shoring calculations.
• Assist in preparing contract change orders and responses to RFIs and required reports.
• Sample and test construction materials to monitor compliance with contract specs and QA program.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and safety policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
