Job summary

Otak is seeking an experienced Bridge/Structural Engineer to join our Redmond, WA office. You will design and lead teams on bridge and transportation structures, coordinating with planners, architects, and clients to balance form, function, safety, sustainability, and budget.

The role serves as a technical expert in analysis, design, and construction, offering guidance to junior staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Washington civil/structural licensure or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
• 7–10+ years of proven bridge and structural engineering experience.
• Demonstrated client services and business development skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities across teams.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and structural software.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead structural engineers/designers/technicians in bridges and related structures.
• Prepare plans, specs, cost estimates, and calculations per standards.
• Lead construction plans using AutoCAD and inspect structural elements during construction.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients for project delivery.
• Support business development and client relationships.
