Job summary

Egis is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader to support inspection and transportation infrastructure projects across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Lead field inspections, assess bridge components, and document conditions using inspection software while coordinating safety and traffic control.

Ideal candidates have a civil/structural engineering background, 4–7 years of inspection experience, MassDOT/RIDOT exposure, and FHWA/NHI training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• 4–7 years of bridge inspection or related experience.
• Experience on MassDOT or RIDOT bridge inspection projects.
• FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Training completed.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel in MA & surrounding New England states.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, in-depth, fracture-critical, and special bridge inspections.
• Plan and execute bridge inspections.
• Document conditions with notes, photos, and sketches.
• Prepare inspection reports and condition assessments.
• Coordinate traffic control and safety during inspections.
• Support engineering evaluations and asset management tasks.
