Job summary

Egis in the U.S. is seeking a Chief Inspector in Rhode Island to serve as the on-site lead responsible for overseeing all construction engineering and inspection activities for bridges and related transportation infrastructure projects in Rhode Island.

The role requires NICET or PE certification with 6+ years of field inspection experience, a BSCE, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work weekends/nights/swings. Join a team delivering critical infrastructure with national reach.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as primary field representative between RIDOT, contractors, designers, and stakeholders.
• Lead and supervise a team of construction inspectors.
• Ensure material testing is compliant with project specifications and RIDOT Master Schedule of Testing requirements.
• Manage inspection assignments, schedules, and daily field operations.
• Ensure adherence to RIDOT Standard Specifications, Supplemental Specifications, and Standard Details.
