Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Bridge Inspector in our Providence, Rhode Island office. This role involves field inspections per RIDOT and FHWA standards, plus performing analyses and preparing rehabilitation plans. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to state transportation projects within a global infrastructure firm.

Minimum requirements include a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and an E.I.T. license, with preferred experience in bridge load rating and software tools such as AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering plus none of experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) License.
• Bridge Load Rating experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, CsiBridge, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, MathCAD, AASHTOware BrM/BrR and MDX is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs field inspections according to requirements of the RIDOT Bridge Inspection Manual and the FHWA National Bridge Inspection Standards.
• Perform bridge analyses and load rating calculations including 3D FEM modeling as needed.
• Prepare bridge rehabilitation plans and document development as needed.
