Job summary

Pennoni in Newark, DE is seeking experienced Project Bridge Engineers to join our Transportation Design Hub. This full-time role focuses on bridge design, rehabilitation, and load rating on multi-disciplinary projects in the Mid-Atlantic, with mentoring of junior staff.

You will interact with clients, develop scopes of work, prepare proposals, and produce reports and technical documents, while applying AASHTO criteria and modern design software.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis; PE license required.
• Experience in design of bridges, rehabilitation and load rating; mentoring of staff.

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of typical bridge structures and solve related challenges.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects and perform inspections.
• Mentor junior staff and promote career development.
• Interact with clients to present expertise and perform project management if desired.
• Develop proposals with scopes of work and man-hour estimates.
• Produce reports, specifications and technical documents.
