Job summary

Pennoni in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead the scoping, design and delivery of bridge replacement, preservation and NBIS inspection tasks for regional owners.

The ideal candidate will mentor engineers, coordinate load rating and NBIS inspections, and drive scope and price proposals for preservation and replacement projects with MDTA, MDSHA, DDOT and others. Pennoni offers a competitive benefits package and ESOP.

Qualifications

• Experience as Program/Project Manager for DOT bridge inspection contracts.
• Experience mentoring engineers and technical staff.
• MD SHA and MDTA bridge delivery experience; DDOT/DelDOT a plus.
• Bridge/structure load rating experience using BrR and AASHTOware.
• Experience with scope and price proposal development for preservation/replacement projects.

Pennoni is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation Team at our Baltimore, MD office.

The ideal candidate will be a person who has experienceperforming the following, but not limited to:

Job Responsibilities:

Lead the scoping, design and delivery of bridge replacement, system preservation and NBIS inspection tasks with MDTA, MDSHA, DDOT, DelDOT, USACE, CBBTD and other regional bridge owners. Provide guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff and coordinate load rating, NBIS bridge condition inspection projects and bridge preservation projects. Scope and deliver value engineering and construction engineering tasks with regional contractors.

Required Attributes:

• Program Manager/Project Manager for DOT bridge inspection contracts
• Providing guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff
• MD SHA and MDTA bridge project delivery experience; DDOT and DelDOT experience a plus.
• Bridge and structure load rating experience using BrR, AASHTOware and other software packages.
• Experience with scope and price proposal development for bridge preservation and replacement projects.

Preferred Attributes:

• 3-D BIM modeling and proficiency with Open Bridge Modeler.

TARGET SALARY RANGE: $130k - $160k (per year)
