Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering.
• PE license in NJ, NY or PA or ability to obtain within six months.
• 15–20 years’ progressive experience in bridge design and rehabilitation.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with NJDOT design and plan production.

Responsibilities

• Supervise structural analyses, design and detailing of bridges.
• Design and detail rehabilitation of long-span trusses with built-up sections.
• Direct the preparation of contract plans.
• Visit project sites to collect information.
• Write or assist in writing reports, specifications, and correspondence.
• Review and respond to contractor submittals (drawings, RFIs).
• Interact with clients and contractors.
• Market the firm’s services.
• Assist with preparing proposals.
