Job summary

AI Engineers, Inc. in Exton, PA/Philadelphia area is seeking a Sr. Structural Design Engineer to join our team. You will perform bridge design, QA/QC, and support Pennsylvania regional projects with a focus on steel, concrete, and timber elements.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of bridge design experience, a PE license, and proficiency with MicroStation. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced consulting environment in the Pennsylvanian region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years in bridge design, with specific experience with Pennsylvania state DOT projects.
• NBIS bridge inspection and/or load rating experience will also be considered.
• Professional Engineer License
• Proficiency with MicroStation. OpenRoads Bridge Modeler/OpenBridge is a plus.
• PennDOT CBSI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks related to bridge design projects and other transportation-related structural design and analysis projects.
• Design steel, concrete, and/or timber bridge elements, walls, and associated structures.
• Perform structural analyses, develop calculations, and prepare plans in accordance with federal, state, and local agency requirements.
• Prepare quantities, cost estimates, and special provisions.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of calculations, special provisions, and plans prepared by others.
• Manage and maintain project and QA/QC documentation
• May perform site visits and structure inspections from time to time.
• Assist project managers with assignments including schedule and budget updates and proposal preparation
