Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks an engineer to produce and modify design calculations, technical reports, plans and specifications for assigned projects in Baton Rouge, LA. You will work with the project manager to research, develop and deliver designs, applying engineering criteria and current CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years)
• Experience using engineering software and CAD tools for design and calculations
• Ability to mentor junior staff and coordinate across disciplines

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided
• Assist in development of project specifications
• Develop discipline-specific engineering elements such as reports, designs, and plans
• Coordinate and improve productivity of project team members
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced team members
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines on multi-discipline projects
• Perform quality control reviews of engineering deliverables
• Assist with scheduling and distribution of work within the discipline
