Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Leadman to supervise and guide craft workers in boiler and pressure vessel assembly, repair, and field service. You will provide leadership, instruction, and on-site technical support, working with Foremen to ensure safe, efficient erection, welding, and testing of water-tube boilers and related components.

The role requires strong knowledge of geometry, rigging, welding, and field maintenance, with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and adherence

Qualifications

• Leadership and coordination of craft workers on a work crew.
• Ability to apply shop mathematics and geometry to layouts.
• Experience with rigging, crane signals, welding and burner operations.

Responsibilities

• Locates and marks reference points for columns or plates on foundation, uses straight edge, squares, transit and tape, applying geometry knowledge.
• Attaches rigging or signals crane operator to lift components to position.
• Aligns structures or plates to boiler frames using plumb bobs, levels, wedges and turnbuckles.
• Bolts or arc-welds structures and sections together.
• Signals crane operator during lifts and tests assembled vessels for leaks.
