Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Journeyman with 3+ years of documented field experience in the chosen craft to read and interpret instructions, document, plan and perform work activities independently. The role involves field installation, alignment, welding and bolting of boiler/frame components and in-field testing for leaks.

You will locate reference points, signal crane operators, and assist in repairs of boilers, tanks and related vessels, following safety rules and project

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently.
• Must be comfortable with heights and lifting heavy components.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark reference points for columns or plates on foundations; use straight edge, squares, transit and measuring tape.
• Attach rigging or signal crane operator to lift components to position.
• Align structures or plates; bolt or weld components; work with boilers, tanks and vessels.
• Assist in testing assembled vessels by pumping water or gas and observing for leaks.
• Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities and repairs in the field.
