Job summary

The Steely Group is seeking a Sr Scientist in biomarker method development to lead design, optimization, and troubleshooting of ligand binding assays for biomarkers across PK and immunogenicity studies.

You will work in state-of-the-art sterile labs, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with internal and client teams to translate scientific objectives into robust, regulated bioanalytical workflows.

Qualifications

• PhD/Masters/Bachelors in biology-related field with 5+ years in a bioanalytical lab.
• Deep biomarker method development experience including assay development and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on with LBA platforms (ELISA, MSD, immunoassays).
• Ability to design experiments, evaluate performance, and optimize assay conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, optimization, and troubleshooting of ligand binding assays for biomarkers.
• Design experiments and independently evaluate assay performance to ensure robust methods.
• Develop assay conditions, reagents, controls, and workflows to address challenges.
• Apply scientific judgment to evaluate precision, accuracy, sensitivity, selectivity, and robustness.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Support method qualification, validation, and transfer activities as appropriate.
• Collaborate with PK/immunogenicity teams on related biomarker work.
• Mentor junior scientists and provide technical training and guidance.
