Job summary

Celerion in Lincoln, NE seeks a Senior Scientist to lead ligand binding assay development within the Method Development group. You will own projects, guide scientists, and drive innovative bioanalytical work for sponsors.

The role requires strong data interpretation, regulatory understanding (FDA/ICH), and effective client communication. You will mentor staff, collaborate across teams, and deliver high-quality results on tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry or Biology; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of scientific experience, CRO or biotech/pharma industry a plus.
• Proven proficiency in immunoassay development with multiple projects led.
• Demonstrated scientific leadership and sponsor/client interaction.
• Regulated GLP environment experience and FDA/ICH guideline understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of ligand binding assays using state-of-the-art technologies for proteins/antibodies analysis.
• Handle projects of non-routine scope with scientific judgment and data evaluation.
• Provide technical recommendations and defend decisions with data and rationale.
• Mentor junior scientists and lead cross-functional sponsor communications.
• Contribute to regulatory, QA, and CSV/UAT processes and SOPs.
