Job summary

The Baker Group seeks an Industrial BIM/VDC Detailer II to lead the BIM team in creating 3D models, spools, and install drawings.

You will QA/QC against contract documents, assist Project Managers with detailing deliverables such as Work Packages and Schedules, and nurture client relationships under the Baker Group core focus “Client for Life.” You will mentor detailing staff, coordinate with Project Managers, Field Personnel, and shop personnel, and apply advanced detailing practices across

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in detailing roles, with plumbing/utility focus or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on detailing projects from kickoff through completion.
• Review and markup spool drawings, BIM models, and construction drawings for accuracy and standards.
• Manage detailing deliverables to meet schedules and quality expectations.
• Develop and maintain project specifications and piping material requirements.
• Demonstrate understanding of project schedules and align detailing activities with milestones.
• Lead and mentor detailing team members with guidance and quality control.
• Apply advanced detailing expertise with independence and leadership.
• Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Provide updates through coordination and BIM meetings.
• Attend relevant courses/conferences to stay current on tools and practices.
