Qualifications

• 3+ years in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle roles.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with billing software/ERP or AMCS preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Billing Specialists to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Review and approve invoices, pricing, contracts, and changes.
• Maintain customer accounts, billing records, and tax docs.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections.
• Audit scale tickets and related docs for billing accuracy.
• Coordinate month-end billing and invoice generation.
• Train and mentor team members.
• Escalate complex billing issues and inquiries.
• Review payments, deposits, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and internal controls.
• Analyze billing trends and suggest improvements.
• Generate reports and support finance projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Billing Specialists to ensure timely and accurate billing operations.
• Review and approve invoices, pricing, contracts, and account changes using AMCS billing software.
• Maintain customer accounts, billing records, sales tax documentation, and contract files.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections and account resolution.
• Audit scale tickets, work orders, and supporting documentation for billing accuracy.
• Coordinate month-end billing activities and invoice generation.
• Train, mentor, and cross-train team members, promoting best practices within the department.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex billing issues and customer inquiries.
• Review customer payments, deposits, reconciliations, and account adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with municipal contracts, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Analyze billing trends and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Generate reports and support special projects for Finance leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle roles.
• Experience leading, training, mentoring, or supervising a small team preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with billing software, ERP systems, or AMCS preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office 365.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in waste management, transportation, logistics, construction, or industrial services preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
