Job summary

Positive Impact Health Centers is seeking a Lead Eligibility Specialist to verify insurance eligibility and benefits, assist with Federal funded programs, and support front-office tasks as needed. The role includes counseling patients on financial obligations and ensuring timely and accurate eligibility processing.

Responsibilities include managing intake forms, updating records, and coordinating with payer sites to resolve issues that affect coverage.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED with relevant healthcare experience.
• Experience in insurance verification and patient financial counseling.
• Experience with medical records or data entry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for scheduled patients.
• Input demographic and billing information into the medical management system.
• Process intake forms and verify benefits/financial obligations for new clients.
• Educate clients on financial/insurance benefits and programs (e.g., Ryan White).
• Assist in billing and collection of patient accounts.
• Collect and upload documentation for Federal funded services eligibility.
• Assist patients with sliding fee scale and annual caps under Ryan White.
• Complete Ryan White annual certification processes.
• Coordinate with other departments to improve the patient experience.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
