Option Care Health is seeking a Supervisor for Benefits and Authorization - Specialty Operations in Illinois. The role oversees daily operations of the Patient Benefit Verification and/or Authorization team, coaching staff, and implementing policy updates to ensure compliant, timely processing of authorizations.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and supervisory or progressive experience in medical insurance authorization, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, productivity,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of medical insurance authorization supervisory experience, OR 3–5 years of medical insurance authorization experience with progression.
• Minimum of one year customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors daily productivity performance including team member coaching and addresses corrections where needed.
• Interviews, hires, and trains employees; directs work, appraises performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Go-to for troubleshooting issues and resolutions with CMC Patient Registration team members.
• Maintains updated knowledge of industry, regulatory and reimbursement issues and payer requirements; keeps AVA team abreast of key changes.
• Assists with rollout of new policies and procedures.
