Job summary

Highlands Behavioral Health System is seeking a Lead Tech to plan and implement activity services within the designated program, contributing as part of the treatment team under the direction of the CNO. The role involves direct patient care, observation, interaction, and serving as a role model for patients.

The Lead Tech will participate in training and development of other behavioral health technicians and support staff, helping to advance care standards across units.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent, required.
• Experience: One year of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Experience in training and developing other staff in psychiatric patient care techniques, or similar duties at Highlands Behavioral Health System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services for the assigned program as a member of the treatment team.
• Define and implement treatment goals as part of the treatment team.
• Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction and role modeling to patients under direction of the CNO.
• Assist in training and development of other behavioral health technicians.
