Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center at Lake Ariel is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) for all shifts. Join a 40-bed residential facility offering detox and inpatient rehabilitation in the Poconos, focused on a warm, recovery-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily operations, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with center policies. We value empathetic leaders with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to sobriety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year sobriety required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character modeling recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations ( Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.).
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures
