Job summary

Axis Health System is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Technician to oversee unit operations and supervise staff while delivering direct client care for substance use-related therapy. The role includes ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to program policies.

The BHT Lead requires a high school diploma with CAT certification and 2 years in a crisis stabilization setting; a bachelor’s degree and CAS/LAC license are preferred. This is a full-time day-shift position in Durango, CO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CAT certification; 2 years in crisis stabilization or detox with withdrawal management or SUD program experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CAS or LAC license.
• Two to three years supervisory experience; peer certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee unit operations and supervise staff.
• Provide direct client care for substance use/alcohol use-related therapy.
• Oversee documentation, program changes, and ensure adherence to Axis Health System policies.
• Collaborate with team to support patient care and safety.
