Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for its Detox and Residential facility opening in Indianapolis, IN. This role focuses on leading daily operations, supervising staff, and maintaining a supportive, recovery-centered environment.

The candidate should have strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and a compassionate approach, with a preference for a valid driver's license and CPR certification. A one-year sober period is required for those in recovery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.)
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures
