Job summary

JBS in Ottumwa, IA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the Loin Bone 2ND shift and meet or exceed plant production goals.

You will supervise production employees, enforce safety and quality procedures, and ensure policy compliance while maintaining strong relationships with the Union, USDA, and maintenance teams. The schedule is typically 5:30 am–3:00 pm, Mon–Fri with some weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge in a variety of production jobs.
• Supervisory skills with ability to handle conflict.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak multiple languages is beneficial.
• Good attendance and safety records (Less than 3 Points).

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed production goals set forth by plant management.
• Supervise production employees.
• Monitor and ensure proper procedures, safety, and cleanliness.
• Ensure policy compliance with all production employees.
• Maintain good working relationships with Union, USDA (meat), and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and HR policies.
