Job summary

Navitas/East Penn, a leading battery solutions provider, seeks a Lead Product Engineer to join our engineering team in developing and validating advanced battery packs for industrial and low voltage automotive applications.

You will translate user requirements into product specifications, own the design and safety documentation, and collaborate with engineering, sales, and customers to deliver robust, compliant products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
7+ years of product engineering experience in electronics, automotive, battery or mobility industries preferred.
Experience with requirements management and standards such as INCOSE, ISO 26262, ISO 15288.

Responsibilities

Review customer requirements and develop technical system specifications.
Apply systems engineering to design battery packs for customized applications.
Lead safety analyses (HARA, DFMEA, FMEDA) for projects.
Participate in development of safety processes to meet certification requirements.
Perform technical assessments and prepare documents for ISO/UL compliance.
Partner with test and simulation teams to plan verification and validation.
Engage with OEM partner engineering teams for proper processes and integration.
Handle complex tasks with minimal supervision and high technical competence.
Follow and improve processes for cross-functional coordination and quality.
