Job summary

Navitas/East Penn seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to lead mechanical design and analysis for lithium-ion battery modules and packs. You will develop 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs, and drive structural and thermal simulations with cross‑functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and quality.

You will own complex calculations, tolerance studies, and design verification, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and safety across programs and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of mechanical engineering or product development experience.
• Experience with complex electro‑mechanical products from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and analysis for battery modules and packs from concept to production.
• Develop and review 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and mechanical specs.
• Perform structural calculations, tolerance analyses, and simulations.
• Lead FEA, thermal, vibration, and shock analyses and translate results into design decisions.
• Drive design verification, validation testing, and correlation with test data.
• Mentor junior engineers and support cross‑functional teams.
