Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to oversee onsite installation, commissioning and service of BAS/HVAC controls from our Albuquerque area location on a hybrid schedule. You will lead a team of technicians, diagnose complex controls issues, and ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in HVAC controls and BAS.
• 3+ years with HVAC systems, controls, and BAS tech.
• Proficient at troubleshooting complex HVAC control issues.
• 3+ years programming/configuring HVAC control systems (DDC).
• Clear background check and pre-employment drug screen required.
• US citizen.
• Able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite installation, commissioning, and service of BAS including DDC controllers and networked devices.
• Serve as technical lead, mentoring junior technicians and subcontractors.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC controls, sensors, actuators, and networks (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).
• Program and commission platforms such as Spyder, CIPer, WEBs, EBI, Comfort Point/Open, and Niagara.
• Interpret drawings and sequences to validate functionality and integration.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, customers to meet schedules.
• Identify energy-efficiency improvements and system optimizations.
• Ensure proper documentation, redlines, service reports, and as-built drawings.
• Adhere to Honeywell safety and quality standards on site.
