Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Lead HVAC Controls/BAS Technician to lead onsite installation, commissioning, and service of BAS/DDC systems in the Indianapolis area. You will diagnose complex HVAC control issues, mentor junior technicians, and ensure quality and safety on each project.

You will program and configure Honeywell platforms (Spyder, CIPer, WEBs, EBI, Niagara) and coordinate with project teams to meet schedules and performance targets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in HVAC controls and BAS
• Experience programming and configuring HVAC control systems (DDC)
• Industrial/field service experience preferred
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or HVAC technology
• Niagara 4 certification preferred or willing to obtain it
• NICET Level I or II in Fire Alarm preferred or attainable within 12 months
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite installation, commissioning, and service of Honeywell BAS/DDC systems
• Diagnose and resolve HVAC control issues including fire alarm interfaces
• Mentor and lead junior technicians and subcontractors
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of HVAC controls (VAVs, AHUs, chillers, boilers)
• Program/configure Honeywell platforms (Spyder, CIPer, WEBs, EBI, Niagara)
• Interpret drawings and sequences of operation for proper integration
• Conduct startups, tests, and point-to-point verifications
• Coordinate with project managers and customers to meet schedules
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and system reliability
• Ensure documentation and as-built drawings meet Honeywell standards
• Adhere to safety protocols and site requirements
