Job summary

Capitol Garage in Sacramento, CA is seeking an energetic Lead Server / Bartender to join our team. This role puts you behind the bar and on the floor, delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll craft great drinks, lead by example, and ensure guests feel welcome. As lead, you will supervise front-of-house staff, manage orders and service flow, and uphold Beverage Service standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bartending/serving in a high-volume restaurant or bar.
• Prior lead or supervisor experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
• California Food Handler Card and RBS certification, or ability to obtain.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Craft and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and flair
• Lead and support front-of-house staff, providing guidance and setting the standard for service excellence
• Take food and beverage orders, deliver meals, and ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and service area throughout each shift
• Handle cash, credit, and POS transactions accurately and efficiently
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and uphold responsible beverage service (RBS) standards
• Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory checks, and bar prep
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction
