Job summary

SSA Group is seeking a Lead Bartender to join our team at Snook Haven. This part‑time, non‑exempt role reports to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager and acts as the senior bar presence during shifts, coaching staff and upholding high service standards.

The Lead Bartender will manage service flow, train team members, ensure responsible alcohol service, and collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on inventory and scheduling while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of bartending experience in a full‑service, high‑volume setting.
• Prior experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory bartending role preferred.
• Valid alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) or ability to obtain on hire.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Embody and champion the 452 Hospitality standard by delivering warm, genuine, and memorable service to every guest.
• Anticipate guest needs proactively, respond to requests promptly, and resolve concerns with professionalism.
• Model service recovery and coach the team on handling guest concerns positively.
• Create an inviting bar atmosphere where guests feel welcomed from arrival to departure.
• Train, mentor, and coach team members on SSA service standards and bartending techniques.
• Conduct on‑the‑floor coaching to reinforce proper procedures and product knowledge.
• Support a culture of accountability, positivity, and urgency across the bar team.
• Act as manager on duty when Restaurant Manager is unavailable and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure bar setup, stocking, and breakdown procedures are followed at shift start and close.
