Job summary

Oak View Group in Waco, Texas is seeking a Lead Bartender to oversee beverage service for games and events at The Baylor Club. The role requires leadership of bartenders, adherence to alcohol protocols, and delivering a fun guest experience.

You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with liquor laws, manage inventory and schedules, and contribute to promotions and special beverage programs. This part-time role pays $10.00-$12.00 per hour and is tip eligible.

Qualifications

• Lead by example in a fast-paced beverage service environment.
• 2+ years of lead capacity experience in F&B.
• HS diploma or GED; bartending cert preferred.
• Valid food handling and alcohol service certificates required prior to starting.
• Ability to operate a POS system accurately.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and guest-service skills.
• Flexibility for nights, weekends, and long shifts.
• Must lift heavy objects as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead bartenders, barbacks and support staff daily.
• Provide prompt, friendly, professional service.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Monitor quality, portion control and recipes.
• Open/close bar, handle POS and end-of-shift procedures.
• Manage inventory and assist with ordering.
• Train and motivate bar staff.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol laws and safety.
• Assist with events and beverage promotions.
• Prepare operational and sales reports.
