Job summary

Tsaina Lodge and Rendezvous Lodge in Valdez, AK seeks an enthusiastic Bartender for the 2027 ski season. You will mix drinks, assist guests, and deliver service with a focus on a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities include crafting beverages, engaging with guests, maintaining bar cleanliness, and adhering to local regulations. Housing and meals are provided; seasonal commitment from Feb 19, 2027 to Apr 20, 2027 is required.

Qualifications

• Resume and proven working experience as a Bartender.
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
• Computer literacy and ability to handle POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
• Interact with customers, take orders, serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Learn guests' names and drinks to enhance the experience.

We do not hire or accommodate couples.

We are looking for enthusiastic and attentive individuals to step into a role of bartending. You need to be a multitasked individual with excellent customer service skills. Your main objective will be to provide an excellent guest dining and drinking experience. Great Bartenders will always make the Guest feel seen and appreciated. Compensation includes hourly plus pooled tips.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders, serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Learn the Guests names and drinks, making the experience memorable
• Have a vast knowledge of cocktails, liquors, wines and beers
• Take food orders, deliver orders, follow-up with Guests to make sure they have everything they need
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar and table service inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent Guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Work with FOH Manager on inventory and ordering

Requirements

• Resume and proven working experience as a Bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the barorganized, stocked and sparkling clean
• Valid Alaska CHARR Card
• Valid Alaska Food Safety Card
• JOB REQUIREMENTS: Available for seasonal work from the February 19, 2027 to April 20, 2027. Communal living experience is required.

PAY: This position pays $14-15 per hour depending on experience plus pooled tips.

• Meals are $70/week, this includes hot basic breakfast, lunch (self made) sandwich, soup, or hot microwavable items and 4 snack items limited due to are, Safeway is available to order and pick up if you wish for more items, with a hot buffet style dinner, which are all provided in the community yurt.
