Job summary

Starbucks Reserve Chicago is seeking a barista operations lead to support the Reserve Cafe team on scheduled shifts, delivering the Starbucks Reserve experience with high-quality beverages and service. You will work closely with Operations managers and partners to execute store functions and uphold guiding principles.

The role emphasizes customer service, adherence to health and safety standards, and the ability to lead and train teammates in a fast-paced environment at the Chicago Roastery

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in retail and/or restaurant environment.
• Ability to carry 35 lb on a consistent basis.
• Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and holidays.
• Identify, train, and model adherence to health and safety standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.
• Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and to set a positive example.
• Anticipate customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and customer cues; communicate with the manager to deliver the Starbucks Reserve experience.
• Assist with new partner training by reinforcing performance and providing coaching.
• Deliver legendary service to each customer.
• Execute operational assignments during scheduled shifts and leverage systems to support the Starbucks Reserve experience.
• Follow operational policies including cash handling, health, safety, and security.
