Job summary

City of Hope in Irvine, CA seeks a Lead Barista to provide outstanding customer service while crafting made-to-order beverages. You will take orders, prepare coffee and tea to specification, operate the register, and help maintain a clean, inviting cafe environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, inventory handling, and ensuring safety and quality standards. Prior Starbucks experience is preferred; certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Starbucks Lead Barista Certification within 90 days of employment.
• Preferred: two years of Barista experience in Starbucks or food service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders, and prepare beverages to customer specifications.
• Open and/or close the retail food service area.
• Maintain a neat, sanitary bar/cart area and display.
• Clean coffee machines and prep areas.
• Handle sales and cash register operations following cash-handling procedures.
• Attend allergy/food-safety trainings and safety meetings.
• Assist with inventory and lifting of supplies.
• Adhere to City of Hope policies and compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
