Job summary

Ryan Field is seeking a passionate, hospitality-driven Lead Supervisor to oversee luxury catering and banquet service. You will lead team members, ensure top-tier service standards, and maintain smooth operations during events, enhancing guest experiences for donors, season ticket holders, sponsors, and visitors.

Based in the Evanston/Chicago area, this role emphasizes staffing coordination, food service excellence, and adherence to food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess or able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol server's permit where required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate catering staff schedules for timely delivery, service, and breakdown.
• Meet with function leaders to plan setup and address last-minute changes.
• Interact with guests and resolve issues in a service-oriented manner.
• Demonstrate understanding of menu items for guests and staff.
• Instruct staff on work expectations for catered events.
• Assist staff in room setup to desired specifications.
• Coordinate delivery of food and supplies to scheduled locations.
• Serve food and beverages to guests during events.
• Return dishes, equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follow HACCP.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment and supplies.
